The Iraqi Prime Minister-designate, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, has started preliminary consultations with the political forces to distribute ministerial portfolios, while private sources confirm that disagreements over quotas began early among the poles in the "coordinating framework."
Al-Sudani announced, earlier, that "fighting corruption" will be at the forefront of his government's priorities, pledging to restore the prestige of the state, impose respect for the law, and stop deterioration and lawlessness in all its forms.
Al-Sudani says that he obtained "documented pledges" from the leaders of the "coordinating framework" to implement his government program in a way that allows him to work with full powers.
He was nominated from Al-Sudani's vicinity that he "started choosing his administrative staff to run the Prime Minister's Office", which gives the impression that he "is within a clear path" to the government palace.
Identical sources said that Al-Sudani is "communicating with the Shiite forces to resolve the quota map, but he is facing serious consequences because of the sharp competition between the leaders of the parties."
A source from the "Al-Fateh Alliance" said that Al-Sudani "may delay before negotiating with the Sunni and Kurdish forces; Because of the complications imposed by the stampede within the framework on the ministerial portfolios.” But another source, familiar with Sudan's consultations, said that the latter "will soon face two main problems: the shares of the Sadrist movement, and the main positions in security, money and oil."
Al-Sudani has a period of no more than 30 days to form a new Iraqi government, and in the event of his failure, the President of the Republic will be forced to assign another figure from the largest bloc.
In addition, Al-Sudani is trying to form his own office, including personalities far from the environment of the “coordinating framework”, as the sources indicate that, with the approval of the Shiite parties, he is trying to send messages of reassurance, both internally and externally, that the government close to Iran can “normalize”, to ensure survival. A full course with full powers.
However, observers do not trust that attracting liberal figures will overshadow the efforts of Shiite forces to enable Iranian influence in government institutions.
