    Shafaq News/ While the Prime Minister-designate, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, seeks to hold a face-to-face meeting between him and the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, accusing the designated movement of working to create new positions and ministries in his government to be formed in order to satisfy all the political blocs and parties involved.

    "The Sadrist movement is a large and popular movement and an effective factor in the political process in Iraq, and no one can look for political stability and leave the Sadrist movement."
    And he indicated that "Al-Sudani is working to hold a direct meeting with the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, for political stability during the next few days, especially since the Sudanese does not want to marginalize or exclude any political party in his new government."
    On Saturday, Saleh Muhammad al-Iraqi, the so-called "minister leader" who is close to the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, criticized the efforts of the coordinating framework to form a "proven militia coalition" government, while renewing his categorical refusal to participate in it. The Sadrist movement by granting him a position in that government.
    Refusal to create new positions
    Meanwhile, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Essam Hussein, told Shafak News Agency, "The Sudanese is working to form a consensus government that is based on quotas, and for this he is working to create positions and ministries in his new government because the current positions are not enough to satisfy all blocs according to quotas."
    And he added, "The creation of positions and ministries in the new government will have a significant impact on the state's general budget, and this will lead to Iraq losing large sums of money on a monthly basis, and all this in order to satisfy the blocs and parties and in order for the quota system to lead the Sudanese government, Especially since this system (the quota system) is the cause of failure and corruption over the past years."
    This comes at a time when a leader in the coordination framework revealed to Shafak News Agency, that the government formation will consist of 22 ministries, and until this moment, 14 ministers have been named, provided that the rest of the portfolios will be completed with the political forces, in order to present them to the House of Representatives in the coming days to obtain its confidence. and the formation of a new government.
    He added that the ministerial portfolios were distributed according to electoral maturity and political representation in the House of Representatives, where the Shiite component represented by the coordination framework will get 12 ministries, which are (interior, oil, finance, electricity, health, higher education, agriculture, transportation, and labor). and Social Affairs, Sports and Youth, Water Resources, Communications).
    He added, while the share of the Sunni component will be six ministries, which are (defense, planning, education, industry, commerce, and culture), and the Kurdish component will get 4 ministries, which are each of (foreign, justice, housing). age, and environment).
    He pointed out that three non-sovereign ministries from the government line-up will go to independents, Christians and Turkmen.
    On Thursday, October 13, the Iraqi parliament succeeded in electing the new President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Rashid, in the second round of voting, after none of the candidates received the votes of two-thirds of the representatives, as stipulated in the Iraqi constitution. In the second round, Rashid won 162 votes, while his rival got The current president, Barham Salih, has 99 votes.
