    Economy News _ Baghdad
Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Electricity identified five features of the electronic taxation project, and while indicating that the project will take an investment character and will not cost the state financial allocations, while stressing the need to proceed with the project.
The ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Musa, said, in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency, followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the ministry held many meetings on electronic collection projects, electronic transformation and automation, and presented extensive studies that include a comprehensive vision after reviewing international specifications and the experience of neighboring countries in Iran, Saudi Arabia and Jordan." Even in the Kurdistan region, to the Council of Ministers in order to discuss it in the previous government.
Moussa continued, "The project was supposed to be on the agenda of the previous cabinet, in order to discuss it fully and vote on it to obtain a decision to proceed with it, but it was postponed to the new government," explaining, "We are awaiting discussion in the council's periodic meetings and voting on it, to proceed with it." ".
He added that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani and the Minister of Electricity are very interested in completing and advancing the electronic taxation project," noting that "after submitting bids and technical studies, time ceilings will be determined for the completion of the project."
He explained that "electronic transformation and comprehensive electronic collection projects require the installation of smart systems, in addition to the installation of (Hisse) systems and smart meter systems."
He pointed out that "the electronic transfer of collection will work to provide services to informal or informal agricultural areas, so the regular service will be provided to rehabilitate distribution networks appropriately, after it was not available under the law."
He stressed that "installing the meters will work to reduce consumption and control the yields of the energy produced, and make it sufficient for the benefit of processing hours, in addition to that it will increase the collection resources and reduce losses, and thus the ministry can, through this project, control the loads."
Moussa stated that "the prices of electronic collection will be the same as those provided with government support, so there will be no increase in prices, which will benefit citizens with medium and limited incomes, and will preserve the capabilities and values of energy."
He pointed out that "the project does not need financial allocations, because it will be referred to solid investment companies after submitting their technical studies and economic schedules, and they are carefully studied by the ministry, and then submitted to the Ministerial Energy Council, then to the Council of Ministers for approval," noting that "the project will take An investment character, and it will not cost the state any financial allocations.
He pointed out that "there are certain obligations on the contracting companies, including the rehabilitation of distribution networks and the provision of service in a regular manner, and therefore there are certain obligations for the two parties, which are the ministry and the contracting authorities."
Moussa stressed "the importance of proceeding with the electronic taxation project, to control the values and capabilities of energy," noting that "all countries of the world are working on the electronic transformation and electronic collection project, and therefore the project should proceed."
