Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Agriculture confirmed that the seeds of the higher ranks of the wheat crop were fogging.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Hamid al-Nayef, said, in a statement received by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "based on the directives of the Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Al-Alaywi, to supply seeds to farmers and farmers, with a support rate of 70% for all grades and varieties, the Mesopotamia General Seed Company has started supplying farmers with seeds and in all of the company's sites in provinces".
He added, "The process of fogging the seeds will be 100% for the basic and registered grades, and 25% for the certified grade," noting that "this was done according to the decisions of the National Seed Council."
And he stressed, "The processing will include farmers according to the agricultural plan," explaining that "seed prices are subsidized by 70%, as the base rank was at 440,000 dinars per ton, the rank of registered at 410,000 dinars per ton, and the rank of certified at 365,000 dinars per ton."
Al-Nayef called on "all farmers to bring books from the agricultural directorates and divisions, and to quickly review the company's branches and their locations in the governorates for the purpose of receiving the quantities of seeds allocated to them, according to the agricultural plan."
