Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Finance issued the accounts of the Iraqi state for the month of October for the fiscal year 2022, which indicated that the volume of financial revenues amounted to more than 136 trillion dinars, and a financial surplus amounted to more than 38 trillion dinars for a period of ten months, starting from January until last October. While it showed that the contribution of oil to the federal budget amounted to 95%, while an economist considered that Iraq had failed to exploit the revenues from oil by moving and developing other economic sectors.
Shafaq News Agency followed the data and tables issued by the Ministry of Finance in December for the accounts of last October, which showed that oil is still the main resource for Iraq's general budget, reaching 95%, which indicates that the rentier economy is the basis of Iraq's general budget.
