Economic expert Nabil Al-Marsoumi predicted, on Sunday, that the revenues of the great port of Faw will reach 6 trillion dinars in 2038.
Al-Marsoumi said, "According to estimates published by the General Company for Iraqi Ports, the direct financial revenues of the port of Faw in the target year of 2038, that is, after the completion of the three stages, will be two trillion dinars."
Al-Marsawi added, in his interview with "Al-Marbad" and followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", "while the revenues of the dry canal will reach 4 trillion dinars, meaning that the total will reach 6 trillion dinars."
He continued, "The commercial and industrial savings and the front and rear linkage factors of the port will be very large, especially for the transportation, trade, tourism, housing, marine services and logistics sectors."
