    President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed today, Wednesday, the need to develop relations between Iraq and Iran.
    The media office of the President of the Republic stated, in a statement received by (Al-Oula News), that “President Rashid received, at the Baghdad Palace, the Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Muhammad Sadiq Al Kazem.”
    He added, "During the meeting, they talked about the historical relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and emphasized the need to develop them and expand the horizons of constructive bilateral cooperation to include various fields in order to achieve the aspirations of the two neighboring peoples for progress and prosperity."
    In turn, the Iranian ambassador pointed to "the keenness of the Islamic Republic to continue joint cooperation with Iraq and its desire to improve the reality of bilateral relations at all levels and in a way that serves the supreme interests of the two friendly countries."
