    Shafaq News / The Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani revealed, on Wednesday, the files of his scheduled visit to the German capital, Berlin, next week. While he referred to the nature of relations between Baghdad and Tehran, he stressed the need for it to be far from the policy of interference in internal affairs.



    Al-Sudani said, during an interview with the German "Bild" magazine, seen by Shafak News Agency, that he will visit Germany next week at the invitation of Chancellor Olaf Scholz, in the context of the historical relations between Iraq and Germany.
    He added, "Through this visit, we will be keen to enhance the horizons of cooperation and economic partnership, as well as other files related to human development, addressing climate change, continuing security cooperation, as well as other humanitarian issues."
    In response to a question about whether he believes that Iraq will be a partner for Germany in the field of gas, Al-Sudani replied: “Yes, given Iraq’s capabilities and its continuous plans to increase oil production and investment in gas, it is possible to meet Germany’s energy needs, and also in light of the conditions that the market suffers from.” global demand, which leads to higher prices.
    The Prime Minister indicated that there is more than one initiative and idea that will be discussed by the advisory delegation at the German Embassy in Baghdad, including gas investments, and the promotion of German companies, especially Siemens, in the electricity sector, adding: "This is one of the priority issues, whether It is on our government program or during our visit to Germany."
    Al-Sudani stressed, during the press interview, that "Iraq will not be a party to the policy of axes in the region and the world, and adopts the principle of balanced relations with neighboring countries, and presents ideas to achieve economic partnerships to be a meeting point for the countries of the region, according to the common interests of all."
    He continued, "Iraq has adopted initiatives to bring views closer between Iran and the Arab countries, and in my estimation, it is in Iraq's interest to reduce tensions and bring views closer, because this would reflect positively on its security and the security of the region."
    And on the relationship between Iraq and Iran, Al-Sudani stressed the depth of the relationship by saying: "We are linked by borders that extend for more than 1,200 kilometers, and there are cultural, religious and social commonalities. Iran has supported the political process since the change in 2003, and has helped Iraq in its war against ISIS. The relationship is positive and within the framework of the administration." Cooperation and support, away from interference in internal affairs.
    Regarding the newspaper's question about "violations of human rights in Iran," he pointed out that "Iraq is the country most affected by gross violations of human rights during the dictatorial regime, and unfortunately Western countries have turned their eyes away from this dictatorial regime, and for this reason Iraq is a country that rejects any violation of human rights." person anywhere in the world.
    Al-Sudani concluded by saying, "Human rights are indivisible, so the Western world must pay attention to them everywhere, not just in Iran."
