    The Ministry of Commerce is preparing to receive more than one million and 700 thousand additional new names for employees who receive salaries of less than two million dinars, in order to be included in the food basket within the ration card system.
    "The ministry called on employees who earn salaries of less than two million dinars, to review the ration centers to lift the withholding of the ration card, so that they are included in the food basket," said the official spokesman for the ministry, Muhammad Hanoun, in a statement reported by the official newspaper.
    Hanoun added, "This procedure will be done by bringing the employee a salary confirmation letter from his department to the ministry to stamp it and send it to the supply centers to be covered by the ration items."
    And he continued, "In the same context, the Council of Ministers' decision was activated after its arrival at the ministry to withhold rations from employees who earn two million dinars or more, in addition to special grades, pointing out that official books will be sent to government departments to provide the ministry with the names of general managers and their grades upwards."
