The leader in the coordination framework, Turki Al-Atbi, revealed a political consensus to propose the election law within two months.
Turki Al-Atbi said that changing the election law is a priority for the political forces.
He added that there is a political consensus to put forward the election law within two months in order to resolve it so that elections can be held according to a date set by the new commission, pointing out that the Sudanese government has pledged to secure the financial cover for all the requirements for conducting the elections.
Al-Atbi indicated that the principle of multiple districts in the governorate may be canceled to one district, but the consultations will decide the options.
The coordination framework had confirmed more than once its intention to proceed with the procedures for changing the current election law in preparation for holding provincial elections at the end of this year.
