On Thursday, the State of Law coalition affirmed its commitment to the constitution and the procedures of the Federal Supreme Court, noting that choosing a new president to head Parliament depends on political consensus.

Representative Hussein Ali Mardan said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “The Federal Court’s decisions are final and binding on all authorities,” noting that “choosing a new Speaker of the House of Representatives will be subject to political understandings and consensus.”
He added that "his bloc does not have any restrictions on choosing an alternative candidate for Al-Halbousi within the political consensus," noting that "terminating Muhammad Al-Halbousi's membership from the Presidency of the House of Representatives is normal and the decision of the Federal Supreme Court must be respected."
A political bloc confirmed that the Sunni political forces have actually begun searching for an alternative to the former Speaker of the House of Representatives. Ended / 25 H
