The deputy state law Jasim Mohammed Jaafar, the existence of political consensus to pass the law of local elections during the next week, excluding the agreement on the law of parliamentary elections because of sharp differences on the distribution of parliamentary seats.
Jaafar said during a press statement on Wednesday followed by "Trend Press," that "the meetings of the House of Representatives next week will see the passage of Article 37 on Kirkuk provincial elections and close the file of the local elections law."
He added that "the political agreement on the local elections contribute to resolve the holding of elections on time without any delay as called for by the remaining political blocs."
