Dhiab added, "The Iraqi dams are in a very reassuring and safe condition in the event of any emergency," stressing "the readiness to receive any amount of water that comes from Turkey, especially since there is a large storage vacuum in the Iraqi dams that may accommodate all the stocks in the Turkish dams at the present time, what We can store water in it in a safe and stable way.”

He pointed out that "the ministry is following up the matter seriously," expecting that "Turkey will not abandon its dams, especially since there are no damages and that the dams are designed with a very high safety factor, twice the expectations that occur with regard to earthquakes, due to the importance of dams from an engineering point of view and their danger as well."
