    Israeli security officials have warned of growing concern about a possible Iranian exploitation of the Turkish-Syrian earthquake to smuggle convoys of weapons through Iraq disguised as humanitarian aid for citizens who have become homeless.

    Sources in the Israeli army told the “Oshlim Post” newspaper, followed by “Nass” (February 15, 2023): This represents an intelligence and practical challenge that is more complex than usual. Because before the earthquake, Iran announced more than once that Israel was attacking humanitarian convoys aimed at supplying food to the Syrian people.  
      
    Sources in the Israeli army told the newspaper that Iran has given legitimacy to expanding the scope of the truck convoys that make their way from Iran through Iraq to Syria, more than in the past. The sources confirmed that last week, trucks passed through that road, but they refused to comment on what those trucks were transporting.
