    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Saturday, the leader of the Taqaddam Party, Representative Hibat al-Halbousi, announced the imminent end of the Parliamentary Sovereignty Coalition, a year after its formation, indicating that this is a result of the alliance's partners' non-compliance with national pacts and constants.

Representative Al-Halbousi said, in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that "the Taqaddam party, which had about 37 seats, agreed to ally with political partners who owned 14 seats, out of concern for unity and belief in national constants that are consistent with the demands of the masses of our liberated provinces."

Al-Halbousi stressed that "the reasons behind the near end of the Sovereignty Coalition are the primacy of the personal interests of most of the political partners in the coalition, and the deviation of many of them from political agreements, in addition to attempts to split the political ranks, whether in the House of Representatives, or in the governorates that we represent."
It is noteworthy that Heibet al-Halbousi is currently the head of the Parliamentary Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee.
Yesterday, four representatives of the Parliamentary Progress Bloc announced their withdrawal from the party due to several remarks on the way the party operates.
The deputies said in a joint statement received by (Baghdad Today): "A number of members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, in its fifth session, announce their official withdrawal from the Parliamentary Progress Party and Bloc, and for several observations on the way the party works and the lack of real partnership in decision-making."
The statement added: "The signatories also announce their stay within the Sovereignty Coalition in order to preserve the representation of their provinces and their masses, hoping for a new formulation that will restore the role of the Coalition, and its members their position in defending the causes of their people and their masses."
Representative Falah Al-Zaidan, Representative Latif Al-Warshan, Representative Adel Al-Mahlawi, and Representative Youssef Al-Sabawi signed the joint statement.
