Maysan Governorate seeks, through its hosting of the 8th International Exhibition and Conference on Energy, Construction and Investment, whose activities began yesterday and will continue until Thursday, to attract investment companies to develop the oil, electrical and industrial sectors.
More than 50 local, Arab, regional and international companies specialized in the fields of oil, electricity, industry, health, trade and investment are participating in the exhibition. Deputy Governor Wael Salman Al-Sharaa told Al-Sabah that the exhibition is a quantum leap for the province, as it has contributed, since its inception in the past years, to the consolidation of concepts and foundations for the development of the national oil industry and the fields of energy and investment.
He added that the exhibition also contributed to opening new horizons of cooperation and coordination between companies operating in the oil sector to improve the reality of the oil industry in Maysan by providing a suitable environment.

In turn, the assistant president of the University of Maysan, Rahim Hussein Musa, told Al-Sabah: The university welcomes the hosting of such international and Arab exhibitions and forums because of their moral impact and material return for Maysan Governorate in attracting investment companies and providing opportunities for manpower in the construction and projects sector, and thus reviving the local product. And raising the value of the national economy, in addition to opening horizons for global cooperation in the field of developing the oil, electrical and industrial sectors.
For his part, the assistant director of the Maysan Oil Company, Rahi Abdul Wahed Nahed, told Al-Sabah: The establishment of the exhibition is a serious and real step to support construction and investment, especially in the oil and gas sector, indicating that the company is keen to sponsor and support conferences and exhibitions dealing with energy fields because of their importance. A role in attracting investments and opening up to Arab, regional and international companies in line with supporting the country's march towards an optimal investment of natural resources in Maysan.
The exhibition, which was held at Maysan University, was attended by representatives of government departments in the province, government figures, businessmen and citizens.
