    Today, Thursday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, received the Ambassador of the French Republic to Iraq, Eric Chevalier, to discuss the overall Iraqi-French relations.
    A statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office, received by (Baghdad Today), said, "The meeting discussed Iraqi-French relations and ways of developing them, paths of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and strengthening joint efforts to develop areas of economic partnership."
    The statement added, "During the meeting, the importance of activating the files of common interests, within the framework of the strategic partnership agreement between Iraq and France," was stressed, which included "various economic, political, legal and cultural sectors," as well as "cooperation in the field of combating corruption and recovering looted and wanted Iraqi funds." Iraqi judiciary.  
    On the twenty-seventh of last January, Iraq and France concluded a strategic agreement aimed at strengthening bilateral relations in the areas of combating corruption, security, renewable energy and culture.
    According to the agreement, this partnership between the two countries aims to "achieve common interests on the basis of equality in sovereignty and rights, and in accordance with the principle of non-interference in internal affairs."
    In a joint statement published by the French Presidency website, the two parties affirmed their intention to continue the work related to the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership.
    And 12 countries participated in the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership - which was held in Jordan last December - Jordan and Iraq (the hosts of the conference), France (the inviter), Turkey, Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Iran, in addition to representatives of the European Union. and the United Nations.
