Minister of Oil: We will definitely reach an agreement with the region regarding the oil and gas law

{Economic: Al Furat News} The Oil Minister, Hayan Abdul Ghani, said that Baghdad "will inevitably reach an agreement with the Kurdistan region regarding the oil and gas law."
"The fifth round of licensing provides 750 million cubic feet of gas, which can be increased to one billion cubic feet," Abdul-Ghani said during the Iraq Climate Conference, which began in Basra Governorate today and will continue until tomorrow.
He added, "There are plans to supply the national grid for electricity generation with gas by increasing investment plans in gas in the coming years."
Abdel-Ghani explained, "Our gas investment has reached 56% in the south, and the ministry has a plan to invest gas in all regions."
Discussions are continuing between the delegation representing the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government on joint files, the first of which is the draft oil and gas law and the approval of the general budget for the current year.
