Independent politician Saad al-Mutalabi revealed a parliamentary agreement within the election law to prevent any foreign company from supervising voter vote servers.
Al-Mutalabi said in a press interview, which was seen by “Takadum”, that “Parliament and the government are keen not to repeat the mistakes that occurred during the electronic counting and sorting processes, whether in terms of tampering with the election results through servers that do not exist inside Iraq.”
He added that “the discussions within the House of Representatives focused on excluding any foreign company through the electronic counting and sorting process and accelerating the election results, especially since these companies are often the carrier outside Iraq,” noting that “the discussions determined that the company be Iraqi and all its devices are located inside Iraq, including servers.” .
Al-Muttalbi explained that “it has become completely unlikely to return once again to contracting with the Korean company that managed the operations to accelerate the results of the previous elections.”
