    The House of Representatives voted, at dawn on Monday, on the law of the third amendment to the House of Representatives, provincial and district elections law.[/size]
    [size=45]The media department of the House of Representatives stated in a brief statement that “the House of Representatives voted on the third amendment law to the House of Representatives, provincial and district elections law No. 12 of 2018,” noting that “the House of Representatives adjourned its session.”[/size]
    [size=45]The House of Representatives also voted to amend Articles 2, 6 and 7 of the House of Representatives and Provincial Councils Elections Law.[/size]
    [size=45]And the media department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement, that “the House of Representatives voted to amend Article 2 of the law (the displaced voter: the Iraqi who was displaced from his place of permanent residence to another place inside Iraq after 9/12/2013 for any reason whatsoever, provided that he is registered in Ministry of Migration and Displacement).[/size]

    [size=45]First: A: The Council of Ministers, in coordination with the Commission, must set the date for the elections for the provincial councils this year, provided that it does not exceed the date of 12/20/2023.[/size]
    [size=45]B: After the end of the electoral cycle for the provincial councils stipulated in Clause (First) of this article, the elections will take place 45 days before, and the election date will be determined by a decision of the Council of Representatives in coordination with the Commission before a period of no less than 90 days.[/size]
    [size=45]A: Elections for the new sessions of the House of Representatives and the provincial and district councils take place 45 days before the end of the previous sessions.[/size]
    [size=45]Fourth: Elections for provincial councils that are not organized in a region are held in one day throughout the Republic of Iraq.[/size]
    [size=45]Fifth: The Council of Ministers, based on the Commission’s proposal, may suspend official working hours during election days.[/size]
    [size=45]The House of Representatives also voted to amend Article (7) of the original law to read as follows:[/size]
    [size=45]First: A full-fledged Iraqi who has completed thirty (30) years of age on polling day.[/size]
    [size=45]Committee Proposal: Amend Item Eight to read as follows: –[/size]
    [size=45]Eighth: Submitting a list of the names of no less than (500) five hundred non-repeated voters supporting his candidacy from among the registered voters in the constituency in which he is applying for candidacy in a single list according to instructions issued by the Board of Commissioners.[/size]
    [size=45]Secondly, a - to have a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, with the exception of the quota for the components, the preparatory certificate or higher.[/size]
    [size=45]The third item shall be amended to read as follows: -
    Third: He shall not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude or cases of administrative and financial corruption stipulated in Articles (330, 333, 334, 335, 338, 336, 340, 339) of Penal Code No. 111 For the amended year 1969 AD, by a final court ruling, whether or not it included pardoning her[/size]

    The House of Representatives also voted to amend the articles of the original law to read as follows:[/size]
    [size=45]Clause 1 of Article (12)
    First: The correct votes for each list are divided according to the serial numbers (1, 7, 3, 5, 7, 9 …..etc) and the number of seats in the constituency. The highest outcome is chosen until all the seats in the constituency are exhausted.[/size]
    [size=45]Article 14: First: If a member of the House of Representatives or a member of the Governorate Council loses his seat for any reason whatsoever, the candidate next to him in terms of the number of votes obtained on his list shall replace him.[/size]
    [size=45]Second: If a member of the House of Representatives or a member of the Governorate Council lost his seat for any reason and was on a single list, the seat shall be allocated to another candidate who obtained the highest number of votes, the party or political organization that obtained the highest number of votes but did not obtain a seat.[/size]
