[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / - The economic expert, Nabil Al-Marsoumi, confirmed: "The upcoming budget taxes will raise the inflation rate in the country."
He told the National Iraqi News Agency ( NINA ): “What is new in the 2023 triennial budget is the imposition of a 5% tax on the revenues of gasoline sales, 10% on gas or kerosene oil, 15% on imported fuel, and 1% on sales of black oil.” Al-Marsoumi added
. An airport tax will also be imposed in all Iraqi airports, with a lump sum of 25,000 dinars per person for travelers outside Iraq.
He explained: "These taxes will lead to the enhancement of non-oil revenues and limit even a little fuel smuggling abroad, but they will lead to an increase in the cost of transporting people and goods, and then a new rise in the prices of goods and services, which may lead to exceeding the annual inflation rate specified in the budget by 1 percent.” 5%, and negatively affects the standard of living of citizens.”/End3[/rtl]
