    The General Authority of the Economy Bank decided, on Sunday, to recycle profits amounting to two billion and 293 million dinars to the accumulated surplus, which amounted to 10 billion and 161 million dinars.
    The head of the Association of Investors of the Iraq Market for Securities, Alaa Al-Moussawi, said in a statement, “The General Authority of the Economy Bank held, today, Sunday, a meeting that included the following: 
    1 - The bank owns 44 properties with an estimated market value of 96 billion and 290 million dinars.
    2 - The bank filed 149 lawsuits against third parties in order to recover the bank's rights, and 74 lawsuits were settled in favor of the bank, with a value of 40 billion and 255 million dinars, and the rest of the lawsuits are under pleading, and we have asked the legal department to make efforts in order to resolve them in favor of the bank.
    3 - The Board of Directors' report, the auditor's report, and the final accounts for the year 2022 were discussed and approved unanimously.
    4 - It was decided to recycle the profits, which amounted to 2 billion and 293 million dinars, to the accumulated surplus, which amounted to 10 billion and 161 million dinars.
    5 - The foreign exchange activity revenue amounted to one billion and 146 million dinars.
    6 - The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors were unanimously discharged from liability, and the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors waived their remuneration.
    7- The Economy Bank is the second bank to hold a meeting of the General Assembly to discuss the final accounts for the year 2022, and this indicates the distinguished effort of the bank’s management.
    8 - The financial position of the bank is now better than before and with continuous development. 
    Al-Moussawi added, "We thank the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors and the Managing Director, Mr. Mazen Kamel Elias, for their distinguished efforts in developing the bank, and we wish them all success."
