Amid the suffocating economic crisis in the Kurdistan region, after the cessation of oil exports through the Turkish port of Ceyhan, the Kurdish political parties began to blame the main reason behind the fall in this crisis, represented by the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which signed an agreement with the Turkish side to export oil for 50 years at low prices and large discounts. .
Although Baghdad and Erbil reached an agreement, the oil export process is still suspended and has not resumed so far, amid information that Turkey refuses to resume exports unless Baghdad agrees to continue exporting oil to Turkey at low prices according to the agreement signed with Erbil for 50 years.
In this regard, a member of the New Generation Movement, Rebwar Chalabi, blamed the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, for the crisis of suspending oil exports with Turkey.
Chalabi said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", that "Turkey did not agree to resume exporting oil through the Turkish port of Ceyhan, because it wanted to buy oil with low amounts, as it used to buy it from the Kurdistan government."
He added, "The Democratic Party and the head of the regional government, Masrour Barzani, are the ones who bear the oil crisis, as they signed oil contracts with Turkey for 50 years."
And the export of oil from the Kurdistan region and Kirkuk through the Turkish port of Ceyhan has been suspended for more than 45 days, which led to losses exceeding $1.5 billion, amid the presence of several technical and legal obstacles between Iraq and Turkey for the purpose of resuming exports.

However, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Wafaa Muhammad Karim, denied Masrour Barzani's responsibility for the fiftieth agreement, stressing that it is for the supply and export of oil only and not for selling oil to Turkey.
Muhammad Karim said in an interview with Baghdad Today that "the agreement took place at the time of Nechirvan Barzani when he was the head of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and Masrour Barzani was at the time the head of the region's Security Council."
He added, "The agreement is only for exporting and supplying the region's oil and not for selling oil, as some are trying to accuse the Democratic Party for political goals and objectives, and they are trying to delude public opinion."
