Iraq Prime Minister rejects international ground forces in Iraq

On Monday the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi confirmed, during a meeting with the Australian Minister of Defense, the rejection of any international ground forces in Iraq, noting that the Iraqi security forces and the forces of popular mobilization are able to win the battle against the organization of the Islamic state in Iraq and the Levant,” while the Australian minister expressed his country’s readiness to support Iraq’s security.
