Oil launches the sixth licensing round

Yesterday, Sunday, the Ministry of Oil launched the sixth licensing round for (11) promising gas exploration blocks in a number of governorates.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, said in a statement: "The ministry is keen on optimal investment of hydrocarbon wealth, in line with the government program, and the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, to increase oil and gas reserves and sustain and increase production of crude oil and gas." Free, processing the gas associated with oil operations and turning it into wealth and productive and useful energy that covers the local need, especially for electric power stations, the manufacture of petrochemicals, fertilizers, etc., as well as exporting the surplus of it to global markets, to advance the Iraqi economic reality throughout our country and provide job opportunities for its people.
Abdul-Ghani explained that "the Ministry of Oil has completed its preparations to prepare and prepare for the launch of the sixth licensing round for exploratory blocks with promising gas, which number eleven in the Iraqi governorates." Nineveh and Anbar, Al-Anbar District in Al-Anbar Governorate, Al-Ana District in Al-Anbar Governorate, Al-Anz District in Al-Anbar Governorate, Akashat District in Al-Anbar Governorate, North Al-Rutba District in Al-Anbar Governorate, Al-Rutba South District in Al-Anbar Governorate, Tubal District in Al-Anbar Governorate, Al-Walid District in Al-Anbar Governorate, and the Al-Quraynan patch in the Anbar and Al-Najaf governorates. The Minister of Oil called on the specialized international companies wishing to participate in the exploration, development and production activities in this round to "Apply to compete and obtain one or more opportunities to explore and develop the aforementioned projects, by submitting their requests officially to the Ministry of Oil, the Petroleum Contracts and Licensing Department.
