    Shafaq News/ The Federal Integrity Commission announced, on Tuesday, the results of its investigation of the work of the General Directorate of Evaluation and Examinations in the Ministry of Education, noting that it monitored the exploitation of the talented channel by influential people and the pressure to accept their children despite their lack of eligibility.
    In a statement received by Shafaq News agency, the Federal Integrity Commission said that it suggested that the General Directorate of Evaluation and Examinations build an integrated electronic information base to preserve students' data and results and unify their records, to facilitate work procedures.  



    In its report on the visits conducted by its field team to the General Directorate of Evaluation and Examinations and the meeting with its general director, the Authority’s Prevention Department indicated, in addition to the Standing Committee for Examinations and sub-committees in the Education Directorates (First Karkh and Second Rusafa) and the two study examination centers (preparatory / biological and intermediate), to the need to link centers Examination with the General Directorate of Evaluation and Examinations electronically, to enable them to obtain results quickly, pointing out the absence of a unified database of academic results for the various academic levels prior to 2004.
    And between the report, a copy of which was sent to the office of the Prime Minister, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the Integrity and Education Committees in the House of Representatives and the Minister of Education, he called for activating the work of the Document Preservation Law No. (37 of 2016) and the instructions issued by the Ministry of Education, regarding depositing copies of the degree board Graduates of the preparatory, middle and elementary school stages are in several authorities to preserve them, stressing that some directorates did not respond to the ministry’s directive regarding keeping students’ records on a scanner and depositing copies of them with the directors of the exams and supervision departments, as well as the school administration.
    And he recommended adhering to the controls and instructions for admission to schools for the gifted in terms of average and not accepting any student who does not meet the conditions stipulated in its system, after it was monitored that the channel for the gifted was exploited by some influential people and their pressure on those in charge of those schools to accept their children despite their lack of eligibility and pressure on the teachers. In order for them to pass the unfinished stages and classes, for the purpose of enjoying the advantages offered by these schools for admission to the colleges of the medical group at rates that reach less than (60) degrees in some cases, explaining that during the previous years pressures were exerted on the Ministry of Education to obtain a second role for students who They were unable to pass the first round, in clear violation of the rules of procedure.
    The report urged the Ministry of Education to take the necessary measures to enhance the necessary funding for the examiners’ wages to avoid delays, indicating the lack of sufficient funding by the Ministry of Finance despite the existence of financial allocation, which negatively affects the course of the correction process and now the results are on time, with reference to the non-disbursement of the correction fees for the second round. For the academic year (2021-2022) so far, in addition to the reluctance of some teaching staff to participate in monitoring and correction processes due to low wages, and the Ministry issuing mandatory orders to do so.
    The report stressed the importance of the Directorate of Evaluation and Examinations evaluating the printing presses for exam supplies and the extent of their commitment to the terms of the contract and the conformity of their production to the terms and specifications in the contract, calling on Al-Nahrain State Company for Printing and Production of Educational Requirements to adhere to the processing dates and improve the quality of the production of examination books after obliging the Directorate not to resort to any external party. , except after the company apologizes for the possibility of implementation.
    And he indicated that the committee formed to examine samples of the examination notebooks referred to the above company found that the stitching of the notebook was poor and the adhesive on its cover did not match the correct position by 5% of the total notebooks that the company printed, in addition to the absence of the phosphoric stamp (holicram) for some notebooks and a shortage of processed quantities.
    The report noted the old regulations and instructions by which the Directorate operates in administering exams and certificates and the need to amend them. Due to the many cases of students that are difficult to adapt to the current systems, as well as the lack of application of electronic governance systems in the work of the Directorate in the handling of mail, the validity of the issuance of documents, their translation, equivalence and other services.
