The Chairman of the Electricity and Energy Committee, Muhammad Nuri al-Abd Rabbo, praised the Iranian gas exchange agreement with Iraqi oil, indicating that the oil barrel in the agreement will be at the global market price.
Al-Abd Rabbo said, in a televised interview followed by Al-Maalouma, that "there was previous confusion in planning and managing the electricity file, and that the wastage of electricity is great in many governorates."
He added, "America does not allow Iraq to give money to Iran in exchange for buying gas, which exacerbated the crisis, but the Sudanese studied the legal exchange of oil for gas and did not find any harm in it."
He pointed out that "Iraq got rid of Iranian debts by exchanging oil for gas at a time when oil will be given to Iran from Iraq's share in OPEC." Ended 25
