    The Ministry of Health announced, on Thursday, that the health insurance law will be implemented in annual stages up to the year 2028 to cover all Iraqis, noting that 150 billion dinars have been allocated to implement the first phase of the law. 
    A spokesman for the Health Insurance Authority in the ministry, Ihab Abdel-Karim Khalaf, said, "The law, which will begin to be implemented at the end of this year, will provide its services to 300,000 insured persons as a first stage, and it includes the participation of the three presidencies that are able to pay their high salaries, and they are the higher ranks of director general and above." .
    He added, "The participation of the employee category is mandatory with employees of the private sector by paying a one-time subscription allowance at the beginning of registration, 50,000 dinars, while the monthly installment amounts to 1% of the total salary, to ensure and achieve the goals of security in the principle of social solidarity and social justice from the salaries of presidencies and employees that guarantee Sponsored by those covered by social care, autism patients and retirees.
    And Khalaf stated, “The health insurance law will include, with its services, all the souls of Iraq, which amount to 42 million within five years, that is, until the year 2028,” noting that “the funds deposited in the Authority’s fund include the participation of employees, the three presidencies, and employers, in addition to budget allocations amounting to 150 billion.” Dinars as a first stage, in addition to the revenues from taxes imposed on tobacco and alcohol.
