    {Local: Al-Furat News} Health Minister Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi announced on Thursday that the process of including all Iraqis in the services of the health insurance law will take 10 years.
    This came during a press conference held in the Parliament building with the participation of the Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee. He said that the services of the Health Insurance Law will be launched next Sunday, indicating that the law will include employees of the Ministries of Electricity, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Communications, the Human Rights Commission, the Federal Service Council, and the Prime Minister’s Office. The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and the House of Wisdom.
    He added that the health insurance outlets will also include Al-Kindi Hospital, Medical City, Ibn Al-Bitar, Al-Kadhimiya, consulting clinics, Saad Al-Watari Hospital, and Yarmouk.
    The Minister of Health also indicated that those covered by the guarantee will have one percent of their salaries deducted, calling on the covered employees to go to the aforementioned outlets to complete the data and obtain health services in the future.
    He continued by saying that the health insurance law needs 10 years to cover all Iraqis with its services.
    For his part, Chairman of the Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee, Majid Shankali, said during the press conference that the committee is following up with the Ministry of Health on the implementation of the health insurance law, stressing that the first phase of the law will be launched next Sunday, which is the beginning of improving the health situation in Iraq.
