The Artists Syndicate has obtained an amount of 5 billion dinars to finance the Artists Solidarity Fund and secure their health conditions, while it indicated that it is proceeding with amending the Syndicate Law and adding technical service and health insurance.
The head of the Artists Syndicate, Dr. Jabbar Judy, said in an interview with "Al-Sabah": The Syndicate obtained 5 billion Iraqi dinars to finance the Artists' Solidarity Fund to treat the artists' health conditions.
Judy added that the Prime Ministry supports the Syndicate in holding the Baghdad Arab Film Festival and the Arab Authority Festival for Arab Theatre, indicating that the Syndicate has proposed to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah, to add technical service for the purposes of retirement and to amend the Artists’ Retirement Law.
