    Baghdad today - follow-up
It is hoped that Iraq will transfer new batches of Iraqis from the Syrian al-Hawl camp, after retrieving only about 20% of them, as the Syrian al-Hawl camp includes 7,000 families, a number equivalent to half of the total population in the camp.
Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper quoted an official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who did not name him for reasons related to his job, as saying, which was followed by "Baghdad Today", revealing efforts to transfer new batches of Iraqis who are in the Syrian Al-Hawl camp.
This comes one day after the meeting of the Iraqi National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, with the British Secretary of State for Security Affairs, Tom Tu Ghandat, in the presence of the British Ambassador to Baghdad, Stephen Hitchin, in which Al-Araji stressed the need to end the camp file.
The Iraqi official, who asked not to be named, said, "Iraq, through a specialized security committee, will return new batches of Iraqi families residing in the camp, after completing the security audit process."
Al-Hol camp is located on the southern outskirts of the city of Al-Hol in Al-Hasakah Governorate, northern Syria, near the border with Iraq. She previously belonged to ISIS.
The camp contains 30,000 Iraqis distributed among more than 7,000 families, representing half of the camp's total population, while Iraq has so far recovered only about 1,400 families and deposited them in Al-Jada'a camp, which means that only 20% of the Iraqis remaining there have been recovered, while 837 families left for their areas of origin or areas of return.
