It is expected that the House of Representatives, during its current legislative term, will complete a number of laws, perhaps the most important of which are 4 that are important; They are the laws (intelligence, national security, drugs, information crimes). The deputy head of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Karim Abu Souda, told Al-Sabah: “There are many laws that the House of Representatives will complete, including the National Security Apparatus Act, which is ready for voting, the Intelligence Apparatus Act, which read the first reading and will be ready for the second reading, and the Act Information crimes, and the committee is a partner with the legal committee in amending the drug law.
He explained, "An expanded committee was formed that includes deputies from various committees to discuss the drug law, and the members of the committee visited several countries such as Egypt and Jordan and discussed the drug law with specialists there as it is a law that greatly affects Iraqi society," and indicated that "amending the drug law is very important in The circumstance that the country is going through, and we need a solid law, in addition to that one of the most important laws that the committee is working on is the information crimes law.”
He pointed out that "there are no obstacles to the legislation of laws, but there are timings for reading them to legislate them and they proceed according to a specific timetable, and the parliament is serious in approving these laws that serve the people," stressing that "the information crimes, intelligence and national security law will proceed smoothly in the current legislative term." Because it is related to the rights of employees, and it is not possible for some departments to run and organize unless these laws are approved.
