    Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shayaa Al-Sudani, the National Security Adviser / Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies held a workshop on water security in Iraq, in the presence of members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, advisors in the three presidencies, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and undersecretaries of the relevant ministries. The security, military and intelligence agencies and a number of researchers, specialists and strategic experts, as well as the participation of a number of embassies and international organizations concerned with supporting the government in this file.[/rtl]

    [rtl]The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, inaugurated the workshop with a speech in which he indicated that the holding of this workshop comes under the direction of the Prime Minister, who personally supervises the follow-up of this important and sensitive file, due To the priority it represents for the government, pointing out that the government is making great efforts to control water scarcity, through treatments and procedures to provide water naturally, but we, as a state, officials and society, have to help overcome the challenges and difficulties facing our country.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Al-Araji stressed the need to change the methodology for dealing with the issue of water consumption, starting with state departments, institutions and the citizen, and everyone must raise awareness of the dangers of exaggeration and extravagance, and raise awareness of the importance of rationalizing water consumption, and that there is real guidance for all segments of society on the importance of shouldering responsibility. We were able to change the methodology of one member of the family, so it will positively affect the rest of its members. 

     

    Al-Araji added that the presence of water means the continuation of life, and if it is lost, life is lost, and our solutions must be in solidarity and we bear my responsibility, not just for the government to assume responsibility alone, stressing the need for concerted efforts by everyone alike, to stand up to the challenge of water scarcity and assist the government in addressing this. important file. [/rtl]

    [rtl]The workshop witnessed two sessions during which extensive discussions took place on the file of water security in Iraq and its repercussions and the effects resulting from the water scarcity that Iraq is experiencing at this stage, and the measures to ensure solutions and remedies.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The workshop came out with several important recommendations related to the steps to be taken in the field of water security and subsequent steps, with an emphasis on the importance of concerted efforts of the ministries, institutions, concerned departments and citizens in raising awareness of the importance of rationalizing water consumption.[/rtl]
