A speech by Hassan Nasrallah on Friday.
Many in Lebanon and the world wondered about the meanings of the short propaganda recording in which the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, appears moving from right to left under the party’s slogan, and about the content of the speech that he will deliver later on Friday.
Guardianship of the Jurist decision
The former member of the Lebanese Parliament, Mustafa Alloush, indicated in an interview with Sky News Arabia that the Lebanese are waiting for Hassan Nasrallah’s speech, but “things are governed by one thing, which is the decision of the guardianship of the jurist and the supreme interest of his basic leadership, which has used Palestine and Jerusalem as a tool for years.” “.
Alloush added: “It does not matter what Nasrallah says, what is certain is that what he will say is a certain Iranian decision.”
He continued: “If we had real political leadership today in Lebanon, today we would not see Nasrallah speaking on behalf of Lebanon or controlling its fate, nor would we see others affiliated with the Guardianship of the Jurist.”
Alloush believed that “things will not reach the point of confrontation and will remain within the limits of what is acceptable to both Israel and Iran and to Nasrallah.”
The situation is different from 2006
Alloush pointed out that “the situation in Lebanon today is different from that in 2006. Hezbollah’s strategic lines are not guaranteed as in 2006, and its ability to fight an open war is unsafe, and the main problem is that the United States, along with other countries, has entered the battle almost directly through fleets.” located in the Mediterranean Sea.
Alloush added: “Nasrallah’s calculations, if Gaza falls, will be to preserve his army in Lebanon (Hezbollah).”
He said, “Maybe they will later move toward bargaining and settlement with the United States, not only on the issue of control over Lebanon, but also on the Iranian nuclear project and on lifting sanctions.”
Alloush ruled out participating in the war and said: “But if it happens, it will leave great devastation.”
Alloush fears that if any agreement is concluded between Iran and the United States indirectly, then the fate of Lebanon will become unclear, and a large part of it may be under Iran’s authority.
Lebanese Forces: No holding our breath
The head of the Lebanese Forces’ media and communications department, Charles Jabour, told Sky News Arabia that it is wrong for the Lebanese people to hold their breath waiting for what will happen.
He added: “It is wrong to consider that Hassan Nasrallah is the one who determines the fate of the Lebanese people, and if he plunges Lebanon into the furnace of war, he is committing a crime against Lebanon and the Lebanese. What is required of him, instead of delivering a mobilizational speech, is to compensate for his internal and partisan situation and all the slogans that he raised 10 years ago.” Regarding the unity of the arenas and the balance of terror, he wants to make up for verbally what he did not do in practice, to retreat today from the southern border with Israel and hand it over to the Lebanese army with international support, in order to prevent war and not to resort to mobilizational speeches.
The decision to go to war is Iranian
Jabour added: “The war decision is Iranian, and Iran is asking Hezbollah and it is implementing it. It is clear that it does not want to expand the war, and today’s word that he will say will not be advanced or delayed, but he needs to tighten the nerve of his party group, because he was absent from the events that took place since October 7 to date.”
He concluded: “We consider that the only salvation for Lebanon is to drop the arguments on both sides of the border, and the border must move from Iranian to Lebanese borders, and become the responsibility of the Lebanese army, which will drop Israel’s argument for targeting Hezbollah and Lebanon and prevent a slide from confrontation to declaring war on Lebanon, and this is “It is the only possible solution.”
