Parliament Speaker Meets Iraqi Parliament Speaker
Met with Parliament Speaker and Chairman of Parliamentary Division Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim here today Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jubouri, on the sidelines of the meetings of the International Parliamentary Conference currently being held in Geneva. During the meeting, they discussed the prospects of cooperation between the two brotherly countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields as well as to discuss the latest developments on the regional and international arenas and the position of the two of them and coordination on issues that will be raised at the conference. The meeting discussed the latest developments of security, especially in areas north and northwest of Iraq and the threat posed by the organization of the Islamic State (Daash). The President welcomed the meeting Ghanim during the upcoming visit of the head of the Iraqi parliament Saleem al-Jubouri to Kuwait soon and expressed his expectation that the visit yielded fruitful results and constructive in favor of the two countries. The meeting was attended by MPs Faisal Al-Shaya and Saleh Ashour and Triga Abdullah and Saif Al-Azmi, representative of Kuwait to the United Nations and international organizations Jamal Al-Ghoneim and Secretary General of the Council of the Nation Allam Al-Kandari.
