Iraq opens its hospitals to receive wounded Palestinians

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Sattar Al-Jabri, revealed that Iraq is in the process of introducing an initiative to open hospitals for wounded and injured Palestinians and treat them at the expense of the Iraqi government in the Iraqi Red Crescent hospitals, the holy shrines, and the rest of the Ministry of Health hospitals. Al-Jabri said, in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: “The initiative came under direct guidance from Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani in support of our people in Gaza,” noting that “an air bridge was opened between Baghdad International Airport and the Egyptian Al-Arish Airport with the aim of shipping hundreds of tons of aid.” Humanitarian aid and its delivery to our Palestinian brothers, in addition to delivering 10 million liters of fuel to the Egyptian Red Crescent, were provided to provide relief to the Palestinians and facilitate the operation of their hospitals, and are part of the aid that Iraq has been keen to provide to our people in Gaza since the beginning of the Zionist aggression.” Al-Jabri stressed that “there is great cooperation between "The Iraqi and Egyptian governments will help deliver this aid to the Palestinian people."
