    The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has prepared a plan to grant final university students and graduates soft loans to support their own projects, while it seeks to adopt a modern program to train and employ the unemployed with the aim of keeping pace with the actual needs of the labor market.
    The official newspaper quoted the director of the ministry’s Department of Labor and Vocational Training, Osama Majeed Al-Khafaji, as saying, “His ministry has prepared a plan to include final year university students and graduates with soft loans to establish their own projects.”
    Al-Khafaji added, “The work was launched in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with a campaign to educate young people about the importance of working in the private sector and support them with loans to create their own projects, while seeking to move them from residential neighborhoods to industrial areas.”
    He revealed "the formation of specialized committees to follow up on the projects that will be carried out through the loans granted by them in Baghdad Governorate, along with its two sides, Al-Karkh and Al-Rusafa," indicating "the possibility of establishing a work plan commensurate with the tasks of these committees by adopting specialized form templates for each case, noting the necessity of granting loans primarily to the category of Job seekers, graduates or those in the final stages of university.”
    Al-Khafaji stated that “his ministry is currently working on adopting a modern study for training and employment for the job seekers category with the aim of keeping pace with the needs of the actual labor market and for the category registered in the ministry’s database, as well as motivating companies and laboratories to apply on the Muhann platform to employ job seekers, and creating special accounts for the purpose of direct communication.” Among the beneficiaries of the services provided by the platform through training courses, loans, and employment in the private sector.
