[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The head of the Center for Political Thinking, Ihsan Al-Shammari, confirmed: “The Iraqi response to the Iranian strike is a natural right for Iraq in light of the blatant violation committed by Iran and the disdain for Iraq, its sovereignty, and the lives of its citizens.”
Al-Shammari said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency ( NINA ): “Despite the good relationship between Iraq and Iran, the Iraqi response to the missile strike in Erbil by summoning the Iranian ambassador and filing a complaint in the Security Council may be surprising to Iran.” Specifically, especially since the Prime Minister spoke about a constitutional and legal path toward responding to Iranian strikes on Iraqi territory.”
He stressed: "The Iraqi response is considered a natural right for Iraq in light of the blatant violation committed by Iran and the disdain for Iraq, its sovereignty, and the lives of Iraqis. Therefore, it was a natural measure, but it will have very major repercussions on the Iraqi interior."
He explained: "Iran may look with concern at the nature of the orientations of Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani, because it did not find firm positions from some former prime ministers regarding its violations. Therefore, it may find in this policy a change in the nature of the Iraqi interaction."
He added: "Iran's allies among Iraqi politicians are supportive of Al-Sudani, and they may reconsider this support if he takes these measures towards Iran, to the point of condemning Iran, or if the relationship between Iraq and Iran becomes tense, and therefore we may witness a process of gradual withdrawal of their support for Al-Sudani, and move towards disrupting... Or obstructing the work of the government, and also in what is related to obstructing the projects implemented by the government through Parliament.”/End 9[/rtl]
