The Supreme Judicial Council stated in a statement received by Al-Sumaria News, “The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, received today the head of the Special International Investigation Team (UNITAD), Christian Richter, and discussed with him the results of the team’s work during the year 2023.”
Zaidan stressed, according to the statement, that “the results of the team’s work and the evidence that was resolved during the period of the team’s work must be submitted exclusively to the Iraqi judiciary and its investigation authorities, as it is the authority competent to conduct the investigation and trial of crimes to which the results and evidence reached by the international investigation team are linked.” ".
