    Today, Monday (January 29, 2024), the Media Department of the House of Representatives published the agenda for tomorrow’s session, Tuesday, which included 11 paragraphs divided between a vote and a report on the draft laws.
    According to the media department, and earlier today, the House of Representatives adjourned its session until tomorrow, Tuesday, after completing the first reading of the draft law amending the Penal Code No. (111) of 1969. It also completed the first reading of the draft law ratifying the Republic of Iraq on the protocol amending the two articles ( 50) and (56) of the 1944 Convention on International Civil Aviation, signed in Montreal 2016, and the first reading of the draft law on private public university education.
    Also, during the session, the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, directed the formation of a committee to investigate the abuse that the Parliamentary Transport Committee was subjected to while exercising its oversight role during its visit to the Iraqi Airways Company, and to take the necessary legal measures regarding the targeting campaigns against the House of Representatives, in a way that preserves the prestige of the House of Representatives. The legislative institution and strengthens its oversight role.
