    The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, and the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen al-Mandalawi, stressed, during their meeting with the head of the Iranian judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, the importance of strengthening cooperation. Judicial and legal relations between Iraq and Iran in the field of confronting terrorism and combating drug trade.
    The President’s Media Office stated in a statement: “The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received at Baghdad Palace the head of the Iranian judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, and his accompanying delegation.”
    He explained, “At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Iranian judiciary conveyed the greetings of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Mr. Ali Khamenei, and the Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, while President Rashid, the head of the Iranian judiciary, conveyed his greetings to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and to President Ebrahim Raisi, and his best wishes.” “More development and prosperity for them and the Iranian people.”
    During the meeting, the President of the Republic stressed “the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in a way that contributes to consolidating the social and religious commonalities between the Iraqi and Iranian peoples, and consolidating ways of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the judicial and legal fields.”
    He pointed out, “the necessity of working and coordinating positions that preserve the security and stability of the two countries and the region, praising the positions of the Islamic Republic in supporting Iraq in its war against terrorism.”
    Regarding developments in the region, he stressed “the importance of working to reduce tensions, adopting constructive dialogue in resolving conflicts, and working to establish international peace and security,” pointing in this regard to “the necessity of stopping the aggression against the Gaza Strip, providing relief to the Palestinian people who are facing the ugliest forms of aggression, and ending “His human suffering by granting him his full legitimate rights.”
    For his part, the head of the Iranian judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, stressed “his country’s support for Iraq in maintaining its security and stability,” pointing out that “relations between the two countries have historical, religious, and civilizational roots, as well as the importance of developing means of cooperation in various fields, especially judicial and legal.” Through memorandums of understanding between the two sides.”
    He added, “The position of Iraq and Iran in addressing current issues is influential and important at the regional and international levels,” praising “the efforts of the President of the Republic to strengthen and consolidate Iraq’s relations internationally.”
    In addition, a statement by the Prime Minister’s Media Office stated: “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani received the head of the judiciary in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, and his accompanying delegation.”
    He pointed out that “during the meeting, bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries were discussed, joint coordination in various files and issues of common interest, and Iraq’s pivotal role in promoting dialogue in the region was emphasized, which reflects positively on the interests of Iraq and neighboring countries and regional stability.”
    The Prime Minister stressed “the importance of strengthening judicial cooperation between Iraq and Iran in the field of confronting terrorism and combating drug trafficking.”
    During the meeting, the Prime Minister touched on “the current situation in Gaza, the occupation authorities’ continuation of committing brutal crimes against civilians, and the necessity of coordination between the countries of the Islamic world and the region in order to put pressure to stop the war and save our Palestinian people from the genocide to which they are subjected, and to help them decide.” “Their fate.”
    For his part, Mohseni Ejei conveyed “the greetings of the Iranian leadership to the Sudanese,” stressing the aspiration to “strengthen the foundations of cooperation between the two countries in several fields.”
    He praised “the Iraqi government’s policies towards the various challenges facing Iraq and the region, and its responsible positions regarding the events in Gaza.”
    Meanwhile, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zeidan, discussed with the head of the Iranian judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, strengthening judicial and legal cooperation in common cases.
    A judiciary statement received by Al-Zawraa stated: “The head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, received the head of the judiciary in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, and his accompanying delegation.”
    He added, “The visit of the head of the Iranian judiciary and his accompanying delegation comes in response to the invitation of the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan.”
    He continued, "The two sides discussed enhancing judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries in common issues."
    For his part, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, confirmed that Iraq is strong and does not need foreign forces to protect it, while indicating that the coming weeks will witness the legislation of the law ending the American presence.
    The media office of the First Deputy Prime Minister stated in a statement: “The Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, received the head of the Iranian judiciary, Gholam Hossein Ejei, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of a number of representatives and the Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Muhammad Al-Sadiq.”
    Al-Mandalawi stressed that “the repeated American attacks on Iraqi sites and figures are in violation of international law and would disturb relations between the two countries, expressing the House of Representatives’ keenness to implement its previous decision to remove foreign forces from the country.”
    He stated that “the coming period will witness the enactment of a law to completely end its presence, and that Iraq is a strong country that does not need foreign forces to protect it,” calling at the same time “Arab and Islamic parliaments to enact laws to hold the Zionist entity and the countries that support it accountable and to criminalize relations with them.”
    He pointed out that “the legislative authority is keen to strengthen relations with all countries of the region and neighborhood, and that it believes in cooperation and integration with the Iraqi executive and judicial authorities, and supports bilateral agreements and treaties in the field of judicial and legal cooperation between the judicial authorities of the two countries,” stressing that “Iraq’s role is consistent.” From Palestine, and that the international system and the countries of the region in particular are responsible for stopping the brutal Zionist aggression in Gaza.”
    For his part, Ghulam praised the role of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, describing it as exceptional.
    He stated that “the Iraqi Parliament is the first parliament to enact a law criminalizing normalization with the Zionist entity, and this is an honorable and creditable position,” stressing that “the Iraqi people can manage their country in the way they see fit.”
