    Economy News - Baghdad
Today, Saturday, cadres of the Ministry of Water Resources in Samarra began draining the flood wave coming from the cities of the north and north of Salah al-Din, through the Samarra Dam towards Baghdad and the southern governorates.
The Salah al-Din Resources Directorate warned of a flood wave that might hit both sides of the Tigris River, after the flood wave was released from the Samarra Dam, while stressing the need to take caution.
The flood wave will be discharged at a rate of 2,500 cubic meters per second, for a period of 72 hours, and according to a digital analysis conducted by Al-Sumaria News, this means that about 650 million cubic meters will head towards Baghdad and the south within 72 hours.
