Member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Hamid Al-Shablawi, confirmed today, Wednesday, that legal legislation to combat corruption exists but needs to be implemented.
Al-Shiblawi told Al-Maalouma that “there is a tendency for the committee to legislate laws that combat corruption,” noting that “there is coordination between the Integrity Committee and the regulatory authorities to activate the laws in force to combat corruption.”
He added, "The laws enacted after 2003 to fight corruption exist, but they need to be implemented."
He stressed, "Parliament is determined to establish clear mechanisms to properly implement anti-corruption laws to serve the public interest. Ended/25h."
