[rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:[/rtl]
[rtl]The Taqaddam Party, headed by Muhammad al-Halbousi, announced its intention to nominate new names for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives that are accepted by other political forces.[/rtl]
[rtl]Party member, Muhammad Al-Alawi, said in a press interview, “The House of Representatives will add to its agenda during its next session a paragraph that will open the door to nominations again for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The paragraph includes amending Article 12 of the bylaws of the House of Representatives by adding the fourth clause to it with the following text: (If one of the candidates for the vacant position does not obtain an absolute majority for any reason, The nomination period will be opened again."[/rtl]
[rtl]A member of the Taqaddum Party continued, “The political forces are waiting for the House of Representatives to vote during its next session on opening the door for nominations for the position of Speaker of Parliament,” noting that “The Taqaddum Party will put forward new names that will be accepted by the other parties,” noting that “the position will go to his party.” .[/rtl]
[rtl] Sunni forces have been competing for the presidency of Parliament, since the removal of Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi from his position in November last year after he was convicted of forging the resignation of Representative Laith al-Dulaimi.[/rtl]
