Political analyst Qasim Al-Tamimi expected, today, Friday, the continuation of political divisions within the Sunni blocs due to the position of Presidency of the House of Representatives, which is still vacant.
Al-Tamimi told Al-Maalouma, “There are indications that confirm that the large Sunni blocs have begun to divide themselves into small groups.”
He added, "One of the reasons for these splits is the Taqadum Party's insistence on obtaining the presidency of the Council amid great Sunni rejection."
He stressed, “The inability of the blocs to agree on a Sunni figure to fill the position of presidency of the House of Representatives will preserve and perpetuate these divisions.” End 25 n.
