Guler said in a statement he made to reporters during the tour: “During our recent visit to Baghdad, the Iraqi government for the first time classified the PKK as a terrorist organization and announced its ban on its territory, and this is something that pleases us,” according to Anadolu.

On March 15, the Turkish Minister of Defense, accompanied by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and the head of the Intelligence Service, Ibrahim Kalin, made a visit to Baghdad to participate in a security meeting between the two countries.

The meeting resulted in the establishment of joint permanent committees working in the areas of combating terrorism, trade, agriculture, energy, water, health and transportation.

Guler touched on the development road project between Iraq and Turkey, and said: “This project is one of Turkey’s most important future projects, and Turkish companies will work in it, and through this road all goods coming from China to Europe will be transported, and the project will consist of 4 highways, 4 railways, and 8 roads.” Normal".

The "Development Road" project includes land roads and railways, and extends from Iraq to Turkey and its ports, and starts from the port of Al-Faw in the Gulf of Basra (southern Iraq), with a length of 1,200 kilometers inside Iraq, and will be linked to the Turkish railway network.
