[ltr]Sheikh Abdul Razzaq al-Ahmad al-Dulaimi, a confidant of the Sovereignty Alliance Party in Anbar province, said on Friday that the intensity of differences between the dismissed Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohammed al-Halbousi and the head of the Sovereignty Alliance, Khamis al-Khanjar, has widened.[/ltr]
[ltr]Al-Dulaimi told Al-Maalouma that "the relationship between Al-Halbousi and Al-Khanjar ended against the backdrop of Al-Halbousi's refusal to support the candidacy of Salem Al-Issawi for the post of Speaker of the House of Representatives as his successor."[/ltr]
[ltr]He added that "differences between the two parties are deep and have exacerbated divisions, expecting the emergence of sharp divisions that will eliminate the future of Halbousi and end his role completely in the next stage after all his efforts to remain as a prominent Sunni leader in the political equation have been disrupted."[/ltr]
[ltr]It is noteworthy that a number of leaders of the Progress Party, led by ousted President Mohammed al-Halbousi, announced earlier their withdrawal against the background of Halbousi's exclusivity in the decision. Finished / 12A[/ltr]
