    Today, Monday (April 1, 2024), Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani chaired the second meeting of the Supreme Armaments Committee, which was devoted to discussing strengthening the capabilities of the Ministry of Defense formations in aspects of armament and military equipment.
    According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, received by Baghdad Today, the meeting discussed “the most important measures taken to support the combat and field capabilities of the armed units affiliated with the Ministry of Defense, within the framework of advancing the government’s strategy seeking to empower and develop the capabilities of our armed forces and security formations, and emphasizing the importance of diversifying sources of security.” Armament, and raising technological efficiency in various types and effective units.” 
    The Prime Minister renewed his directives on the necessity of paying attention to training and development, and providing the best supplies and equipment to our armed forces, enabling them to respond and move in the performance of duty and confront security challenges and threats, whatever their source and type.
