The leader of the coordination framework, Jabbar Odeh, confirmed on Wednesday that the Turkish army launched nearly 40 attacks deep inside Iraq during the current year.

Odeh told Al-Maalouma, “Turkey launched 6 attacks inside Iraqi territory through aerial bombardment, marches, and artillery within just 10 days, bringing the total number of attacks to approximately 40 attacks during 2024.”
He added, "The increase in the frequency of attacks has included more than 10 areas so far within the borders of the Kurdistan region and Nineveh, and they represent blatant violations of sovereignty and the principles of good neighborliness and give negative signals to Baghdad."
He pointed out that "Ankara uses many arguments to justify the bombing and assassinations," pointing out that "stability is not achieved by building bases and camps inside Iraqi territory, but rather through openness to Baghdad and cooperation in achieving stability that meets the interests of all parties without exception."
