    {Economic: Al-Furat News} Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul-Ghani confirmed the imminent resumption of the export of oil from the Kurdistan region.
    Abdul Ghani said in a press statement from Washington, one of the members of the government delegation currently visiting the American capital, headed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, that “the ministry sent a letter to the Kurdistan Regional Government to deliver the oil produced from the fields to SOMO, the only company authorized to market Iraqi oil, to be exported.” Through the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline to the port of Ceyhan.
    Regarding reaching an agreement with oil companies operating in the Kurdistan region, he pointed out that there is no direct relationship between oil companies operating in the region with the federal government. 
    He added, "Therefore, the region was informed of the necessity of submitting copies of these contracts to be studied and adapted in accordance with the constitution."
